US Forest Service Tanker Base Apron Rehabilitation and Expansion – July 15, 2015

USFS Apron Project Area

The City of Prescott/Prescott Municipal Airport, in cooperation with the US Forest Service will be conducting a full rehabilitation and expansion of the apron adjacent to the Tanker Base.  This project will include a complete rehabilitation of the pavement on the existing apron as well as the addition of a third loading pit and expansion of the aircraft parking apron and an additional ingress/egress point from the existing Taxiway D into the apron.

This project is being funded through a grant from the Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT), local funding from the City of Prescott/Prescott Municipal Airport, and capital improvement funds from the US Forest Service.

During portions of this project Taxiway D and D5  will be closed due to personnel and equipment working within the Taxiway Object Free Area (TOFA).

Please check NOTAMs regularly for the most up-to-date airport surface closures as access to some portions of the airfield will be impacted during this projects.
