The Airport Administration would like to announce the following schedule of airfield construction projects for 2015. These projects are a combination of Federal, State, and Local funds and partnerships that allow the City to continue to make important infrastructure upgrades to the Airport facility.
June 2015 – Taxiway C Pavement Maintenance
Tentative Start Date: June 11, 2015
Taxiway C as well as portions of Taxiways E and F will recive crack seal/crack repair and a 1in. rubberized asphalt overlay. This project also includes repainting of all existing markings on these surfaces. Funding is provided through a grant from the Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT) and local fund contribution from the City of Prescott/Prescott Municipal Airport.
Currently this project is expected to last approximately 2 weeks to allow the new surface to cure before final application of permanent markings.
June 2015 – “F” Hangar Fire Sprinkler System Upgrade
Tentative Start Date: June 23, 2015
The “F” Hangar in the Bottleneck Hangar Complex will be undergoing an upgrade of the existing fire sprinkler system. This project is 100% funded by the City of Prescott/Prescott Municipal Airport.
July 2015 – Taxiway D4 & D5 Pavement Maintenance
Tentative Start Date: July 13, 2015
Taxiways D4 and D5 will recieve a 2in mill, subsurface crack/seperation repair and asphalt overlay.
All pavement markings will be replaced.
This project is 100% funded by the City of Prescott/Prescott Municipal Airport.
July 2015 – US Forest Service Tanker Base Apron Rehabilitation and Expansion
Tentantive Start Date: July 15, 2015
The City of Prescott/Prescott Municipal Airport, in cooperation with the US Forest Service will be conducting a full rehabilitation and expansion of the apron adjacent to the Tanker Base. This project will include a complete rehabilitation of the pavement on the existing apron as well as the addition of a third loading pit and expansion of the aircraft parking apron and an additional ingress/egress point from the existing Taxiway D into the apron.
This project is being funded through a grant from the Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT), local funding from the City of Prescott/Prescott Municipal Airport, and capital improvement funds from the US Forest Service.
August 2015 – Airfield Electrical Improvements Project
Tentative Start Date: August 2015
